Preschool

Preschool Curriculum

Our preschool curriculum is thoughtfully designed to bring out creativity, language development, cultural appreciation, and practical life skills in our youngest learners. Through a diverse and engaging array of subjects, we aim to create a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures the whole child.

Music

Music is an integral part of our curriculum, providing children with the opportunity to develop rhythm, coordination, and a deep appreciation for sound. Our Music lessons incorporate singing, dancing, and playing instruments, this encourages both individual creativity and collaborative skills.

Preschool students will learn music by singing and playing different instruments. During the week, they will try fun instruments like the Xylophone, Shaker, Cajon, Ukulele, Drum, and Piano. They will practice simple music skills, such as keeping a beat and playing along with songs.

Xylophone

Students will learn to keep a simple rhythm by playing the xylophone with songs chosen for their age. They will practice tapping the bars in time with the music.

Shaker

Students will explore percussion instruments by using shakers. They’ll learn how to keep the beat while strengthening their small muscles, which helps them grow and develop.

Cajon

Children will learn about playing the cajon, which helps develop gross motor skills, concentration, and memory. They will practice drumming in various rhythms, such as whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes, and learn proper hand positioning through fun music activities. They will also explore different drum sounds like the bass drum and snare drum. This provides a solid foundation for developing rhythmic skills in the future.

Ukulele

Students will learn about string instruments by playing the ukulele. They will practice holding the instrument, plucking the strings, and playing simple tunes. They will learn how to hold a pick and play along with friends and teachers to songs chosen by the school.

Drums

Students will be introduced to drum basics, including how to read simple drum notes using colors to help them remember. They will practice Drum Rudiments, which are important basic patterns. The lessons will be adjusted to be fun and easy for their age.

Piano

Students will learn the musical notes Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti and practice placing their fingers on the keys correctly. They’ll also play the C major scale through familiar songs, which helps them remember the music better.

Additionally, at the end of the semester, a performance activity is organized as part of the Band Performance subject. Children will practice performing as a group with their peers on stage, learning discipline and teamwork. They will use a real stage for these lessons, allowing them to gain experience and build confidence in performing, which they can apply in real performances.

This curriculum ensures that our preschoolers develop essential skills while enjoying a balanced mix of academic, creative, and practical activities.

Our pledge is to provide a nurturing environment where each child can explore their interests and build a strong foundation for future learning.
